Spring Garden

With spring around the corner, many of us might be planning to revamp our gardens. But the winter may have left your garden in a pretty bad shape. You must be wondering how on earth you are going to get it all back looking like a lush picture that it used to be.  Of course there’s a lot of work in the form of planning and preparation before you see that day, but it will soon start blooming again and fill your heart with pleasure and put the spring back on your feet.

To get off to a healthy start, once you see the temperatures rising and the spring sunshine coming in, you need to remove all the debris of the winter months.  A lot of yard waste is bound to be created and this is where you need to call in a yard waste removal company to do your dirty work.  You don’t want to have to paint your new picture on a dirty canvas, do you?  The garden should be prepared well in time for planting.  A lot of work has to be done in the form of removing dry shrubs, tilling the dirt up and the whole area needs to be raked over to pull up the clumps and dry weeds and grass.

Letting professionals handle the work is an excellent option.  These companies will lift, carry and haul-away all the debris from your garden.  Most probably you would have made a huge mess by chopping down some trees, trimmed some fronds, pruned some bushes and removed dead lawn to make room for your new plants.  Now that is surely a great mess.  But there is no need to worry.  You can call in the local haul-away and ask them to remove the green waste quickly and professionally to leave your yard uncluttered.  Some of them even offer to sweep away the dust when they are done.  They even take care of thorny shrubs, tree stumps or just piles of foliage.  You could call these professions and get a schedule of the work.

After cleaning the entire area, you can now start shopping for your new seeds and start planting.  However, the best time for planting flowers or any vegetables will depend on which region of the United States you are living in and what the particular climate is like. In San Francisco Bay Area, for instance, the best time for planting your garden would be between March and May. Before planting, you need to put some mulch in order to maintain the nutrients in the soil but be careful not to put any plastic liners below the mulch. If you are looking for weed block you can use cardboard in the same fashion but it well eventually go away and is earth friendly.
